Businesses like Entrepreneurs are rapidly adopting VoIP techologies as a means to reducing phone costs .

Entrepreneurs live on the phone, making and receiving hundreds of calls a month to and from various phone networks. Their phones bills can be well into the thousands each month.

So, when Entrepreneurs have the ability to save up to 50% on their telephone bills, it's little wonder that they are taking to using the Vox ADSL Phone in a big way.

The focus of VoIP is usually on outgoing call savings. Nobody asks how much a business can save on incoming calls because they are not billed for incoming calls; unless they are using a Share Call service. Everyone knows that VoIP can reduce a phone bill thousands a month on their outgoing call costs, but because nobody is  accustomed to being billed for incoming calls the point of inbound call costs is not a topic of conversation.

VoIP  has been around for over 10-years and yet it is still, to a large extent, an under developed technology that has huge potential. With so much potential at their disposal, VoIP telecommunications operators are bringing to market innovative business models. Steadily peaking consumer interest and shifting consumer indifference, VoIP telecommunications operators are moving toward a point where finally, they are starting to experience greater market penetration.

One such business model involves actually paying customers for incoming calls.

Telecommunications operators have "inter-connect agreements"  between one another. These agreements define what telecommunications companies will charge each other each time one of their customers makes a call that terminates on a network other than there own. This cost is covered by subscriber call rate charges.

Nimbler and quicker VoIP phone companies have lower than  fixed line and cellular network operators. This because of the greater flexibility and scalability they gain from leveraging data networks. In an effort to compete against "deeper pockets", many VoIP Telco's have come to the conclusion that paying customers for incoming call is the one space that large telecommunications operators will not compete. With this in mind they have taken the innovative and bold step of breaking ranks with telecoms tradition and decided to pay some of the inter-connect money they get to other operators for inbound inter-connect to their customers.

Figuratively speaking customers with this service offering get to have their cake and eat it, making cheap outgoing calls and incoming call rebates that further reduced their phone bill.

This is a seductive billing model for businesses like Entrepreneurs, many of which advertise extensively on and off-line, generating many hundreds of inbound calls each month. The ratio between inbound and outbound call traffic varies greatly between different businesses, however most Entrepreneurs have been able to cut their telephone costs by as much as 50%. Businesses that have significantly higher incoming call volume than outgoing, have the ability to completely subsidize their communications expenses, including line and equipment rental costs.

VoIP is a complex technology, but the ability to provision and start benefiting from VoIP has  become very simple. All Entrepreneurs need  to start making savings is an ADSL or broadband internet connection, a VoIP Gateway and a VoIP Telco that is willing to offer discounted outgoing calls and rebates for incoming calls.

Since broadband Internet connectivity is already a service that is available within most Entrepreneurs offices, most Entrepreneurs will need to only acquire a VoIP Gateway and subscribe to suitable VoIP Telco. Most VoIP Telcos will be able to supply suitable hardware and service packages.

Vox Telecom, an alternative telecommunications provider offers customers calls that are on average 16% cheaper to cellular networks, 23%+ cheaper on long distance national calls and more than 50% on international calls. For incoming calls Vox Telecom rebates customers 20c per minute for calls  from fixed line operators and 40c per minute for calls  from cellular networks. Vox also offers free calls, on and off peak, when customers are making calls within their own network.

Vox offers two VoIP gateway products. The Vox ADSL Phone which is an ADSL modem, router and network hub with a VoIP gateway, and the Vox ADSL PBX provides everything the Vox ADSL Phone does, but is also a feature rich VoIP PBX solution. The combination of these product offerings suit most Entrepreneurs who run small but busy office setups. The Vox ADSL Phone and Vox ADSL PBX are only available from registered Vox Telepreneur Dealers like PhoNet.

To estimate how much Entrepreneurs can save when using VoIP through Vox Telecom, PhoNet has developed a web-based Cost Savings Calculator. Entrepreneurs can enter their current telephone usage costs into the calculator to calculate how much they could be saving if the used a Vox ADSL Phone or Vox ADSL PBX.
